War Eagle Resort

We camped and floated this weekend and it was beyond amazing! The site was beautiful and I loved that security patrolled regularly as we had small children. Got to meet a regular camper named Steve who talked the place up and for a 3 night stay this place did not disappoint! There was a little confusion when we went to float about being a four person minimum but it still is well worth the money! The kids had as much fun as we did and the place we were at was perfect for our kids to swim. Keep doing what you’re doing War Eagle because it was amazing! Thank you!

Have been going to this resort for years. Last year I felt the service was semi rude but it was young girls. This year I get a last minute reservation to float and for a room. We get there we pay for our four adults and two children to float and pay for a room. After a nice float but with zero help while getting out of floats go back up to get our key for our room and our bands for us to swim the young lady gave me four wrist bands and I asked does that mean the kids do not need one? She replied there is only four given out per room. No problem we go to our room get everything u loaded and here comes the older lady with two security guys one who is carrying a firearm. She states we are only allowed four guests per room and we need to either come get a refund or get another room. We went to office fully prepared to just get another room but was very confused. Once there the lady was so rude and condescending and said we had lied to her about the guests. I explained we didn’t realize the kids counted and we weren’t trying to lie. She started clapping her hands at me and my son. How did we try to lie? We paid for all six of us to float on one raft, they took our money for float and room at same time. Why not mention it then before we go float. Anyway I got my refund and we went to Holiday Inn. Where by the way if u stay there and float they will shuttle you to and from the river. So sad I won’t be going back to a place I have taken my children since they were small. Shame on you for the belittling customer service.

We had a party of 16 - a bachelor/bachelorette party! What a great time we had! I honestly was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews, but everything exceeded our expectations! We floated on a Saturday and it was extremely busy.. equipment checkout, the bus ride to the river and the staff at the end was all perfect! River was crowded, but we had an absolute blast! Thanks War Eagle for the memories!

OK Would we stay here again, yes! Cabins were excellent and the service was excellent. Negatives when you get off the float the exit it's great at all. If you have any fear of water you absolutely would be traumatized. We are swimmers and the kids were teenagers Other float companies have a beach that you paddle up to. Other resorts on river when finished floating you can go down to the water and swim and hangout this place doesn't have that. You can drive to a free access area which isn't to far though. There is a pool and volleyball. This would be a good place during fall for reunions.

We chose War Eagle as our float trip destination. They had everything you needed for a successful float trip. Their equipment is in good shape, and life jackets for all shapes and sizes. We chose the short trip and were bused to our drop-off point. It was so easy, honestly. The only drawback is that we had a 3 year old in our party, and she paid full price for her seat on our raft, $31.00. Fair warning children 12 and under are the same price as a grown adult. We provided our own life jacket for her as well, that met the safety and size requirements better. Aside from this, the staff was friendly, and the bathrooms were clean and spacious. When we arrived back, they even drove us back to the front of the entry, which would have been a short walk to reach our vehicles. I would like to make a weekend out of it next time and test out their cabins and the rest of thethe facilities.
